Intellance provides freelance content services in an ever-changing digital environment.
Beginning her career as a sub editor, Nicole developed as a business intelligence reporter and progressed to become international editor of a daily global commodities publication, leading a team of 20 reporters across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
While studying journalism at City University in London, Nicole compiled news briefs for the now-defunct Fourleaf.com Dealbase on venture capital financing during the dotcom era. After graduating she spent four years as a reporter and sub editor at Light Reading, covering the telecom network equipment industry and establishing the site’s emerging markets beat.
With the financial crisis came a move to Argus Media, where she would spend the next decade becoming a commodities specialist. Nicole was a price reporter analysing European wholesale electricity markets for six years, covering issues including plant construction and maintenance, regulatory policy, and renewable energy development, alongside daily price assessments.
She was subsequently an editor for five years, launching a new non-ferrous metals publication and raising the company’s profile by speaking at industry events around the world as it diversified into metals coverage. Her beat included refined metals used in electronic devices, the development of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, macroeconomic drivers in metals pricing, and the impact of geopolitical events on metals production.
Now as a freelancer, Nicole offers her wealth of experience and industry knowledge to a wider audience.
